1 Scope
This specification applies to Rail Fish Plates supplied to Bane NOR.
2 Profiles
This specification applies to the following Fish plate profiles:

3 Material
The steel grade used shall have tensile strength > 550 N/mm2, in accordance with UIC leaflet 864-4.
4 Dimensions
a) The fish plate dimensions shall be in accordance with the drawings i Chapter Profiles
b) The tolerances shall comply with the requirements in UIC 864-4.
5 Manufacture
a) The Fish plates shall be manufactured in accordance with UIC leaflet 864-4.
b) The transition part of compromise fish plate shall be formed by forging and/or machining. No welding is allowed.
6 Acceptance
Acceptance testing shall be performed in accordance with UIC 864-4.
7 Identification
The Fish Plates shall be marked in accordance with UIC 864-4
8 Documentation
a) Records of acceptance tests shall be retained by the supplier. These records shall be available for inspection by Bane NOR at any time. On request, the supplier shall submit any documents relating to the acceptance tests to Bane NOR.
b) Material certificates for the Fish Plates shall be handed over to Bane NOR for every delivery.
